An absolute slog to get through。

The Founding Festival has finally started and with it a very filled itinerary for Rimuru including meetings with old and new friends, diners, concerts and a fight tournament。 The story itself is mostly slice-of-life covering the three days of the festival and some attention to the aftermath。 It is a bit silly at times (the Hero's power is not my type of humour), and little happens in regards to plot or true character development (little, but there is some)。 I do find the handling of a potential The Founding Festival has finally started and with it a very filled itinerary for Rimuru including meetings with old and new friends, diners, concerts and a fight tournament。 The story itself is mostly slice-of-life covering the three days of the festival and some attention to the aftermath。 It is a bit silly at times (the Hero's power is not my type of humour), and little happens in regards to plot or true character development (little, but there is some)。 I do find the handling of a potential main villain a bit odd and contradictory, trying very hard to hide it in earlier volumes and other times not。 The motivation is eluding me as well (never a fan of somebody working against the hero and at the same time having had opportunities to do a lot of damage and not taking it)。 Still, I am not reading the series for its plot, and I did enjoy the book。 I do hope we get some more meaningful events in future volumes。。。 。。。more

The gushing over Masahiro was slightly tiresome, but the festival arc as a whole was pretty enjoyable, and the interactions between Benimaru and his wives to be was a nice, new development to the character that was fairly well fleshed out。

Very indulgent。 Festival-focused。 Funny。 Rimuru's growing relationships and ties with, not just normal people, but with powerful people are fun to see。 This volume saw a bit of action too, re: arena fights and labyrinth。 But aside from that really, it all came down to mind games, which of course, is a whole intense battle too。 The plot is moving yet again。 The "villians" are baring their fangs again。 There are a few revelations here and there, but safe to say, this volume is indeed very indulgen Very indulgent。 Festival-focused。 Funny。 Rimuru's growing relationships and ties with, not just normal people, but with powerful people are fun to see。 This volume saw a bit of action too, re: arena fights and labyrinth。 But aside from that really, it all came down to mind games, which of course, is a whole intense battle too。 The plot is moving yet again。 The "villians" are baring their fangs again。 There are a few revelations here and there, but safe to say, this volume is indeed very indulgent in all sense of the word。 Can't say I don't like it。 In fact, it was a fun to read! This volume revved up in humor too! Can't wait to read more。 On to the next! 。。。more

Festival!!Wished there were more pages dedicated to the kids, but at least we got more Gobta。

Quite a funny and cute festival。 Hail Ma・Sa・Yu・Ki!

Still reminds me of reading fanfic sometimes (kind of scattered, jumps around, veers off in directions that don’t always make sense) but when it was on, there were some fun moments。 I look forward to seeing this part of the story animated。

Whew I can’t wait to see what happens next and find out about Yuuki

Fun and wonderful blend of genres What should be an overload of styles is instead a smooth and entertaining read with great transitions from genre to genre: it’s a festival, a cooking manga, a battle tournament arc, a jrpg, a high stakes business drama。 The author wraps it all up with an overarching conspiracy and promises of more challenges to come。

A little slow。This one was a bit slower on the story, and the action wasn't as interesting as usual。 Hoping the confrontation between Rimuru, and Yuuki happens in the next volume, or we see more of the Moderate Jesters, and some large scale battles。 A little slow。This one was a bit slower on the story, and the action wasn't as interesting as usual。 Hoping the confrontation between Rimuru, and Yuuki happens in the next volume, or we see more of the Moderate Jesters, and some large scale battles。 。。。more

Kind of fun but there are a lot of characters to keep track of (something even the author mentions in the afterward)。 This volume is probably the most solid evidence that the main character wasn't isekai'ed into a Dragon Quest game but a Civilization game。 Kind of fun but there are a lot of characters to keep track of (something even the author mentions in the afterward)。 This volume is probably the most solid evidence that the main character wasn't isekai'ed into a Dragon Quest game but a Civilization game。 。。。more

3。5/5 There are some fun moments during volumes 8 and 9 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime but all in all it kind of slowed the progression of the main plot to focus almost completely on world building。 That's about 750 pages of no strong character or plot progression。 That's not a light novel that's damn near a Robert Jordan novel。However they aren't terrible but they felt kind of like a filler Arc。 The battle tournament was fun and humorous but all of the big hitters are absent from it 3。5/5 There are some fun moments during volumes 8 and 9 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime but all in all it kind of slowed the progression of the main plot to focus almost completely on world building。 That's about 750 pages of no strong character or plot progression。 That's not a light novel that's damn near a Robert Jordan novel。However they aren't terrible but they felt kind of like a filler Arc。 The battle tournament was fun and humorous but all of the big hitters are absent from it。 The same can be said for the real introduction into the labyrinth。 Still a fun series and I'm looking forward to volume 10 however I'm hoping that all of this build up over the last 2 volumes is worth it and not just glossed over in the future。 。。。more

Gave me a giggle While there wasn't any major fights or wars to be won, in this instalment in the series, it did give us a chance to see some of the different personalities of the ever growing team in Tempest and beyond。 We see the fruition of many different 'departments' work during the festival and there was some very key points of plot thrown in! All in, while not action packed, it was a nice transitional section of the story; with plenty of laughs throw in, can't wait for the next one 😁 Gave me a giggle While there wasn't any major fights or wars to be won, in this instalment in the series, it did give us a chance to see some of the different personalities of the ever growing team in Tempest and beyond。 We see the fruition of many different 'departments' work during the festival and there was some very key points of plot thrown in! FunAs always an amazing read。 Little action but the writer does good with making the exposition interesting and fun to read。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 i don’t like masayuki。 his perspective is really annoying probably because he never does anything but is still confident in himself。 also there are a lot of inconsistencies in this volume with the kids。 the parts with them feel kinda just tacked on。 he hides his identity then he doesn’t。 he hides how he saved them then everyone knows。 other than that, this volume was done really well and patched up some questions (disbelief) i had on the tournament in the web novel and handled building the count i don’t like masayuki。 his perspective is really annoying probably because he never does anything but is still confident in himself。 also there are a lot of inconsistencies in this volume with the kids。 the parts with them feel kinda just tacked on。 he hides his identity then he doesn’t。 he hides how he saved them then everyone knows。 other than that, this volume was done really well and patched up some questions (disbelief) i had on the tournament in the web novel and handled building the country pretty well, or at least better。 the labyrinth was a bit lackluster? i feel like it should be harder or more terrifying or something。 also only 10 bosses is kind of not a lot since the floors don’t have that many monsters。 some of the negotiations were let’s just say not professional。 。。。more

Best book in the series in my opinion, from the tournament, to the labyrinth, everything was detailed yet delivered at a good pace。
